Dopo mezzo secolo di carriera Richard Thompson si conferma uno strumentista abile e inventivo che trova nuovi modi per suonare le stesse note. Per 13 Rivers, disponibile anche in doppio vinile, ha realizzato un combo rock compatto e versatile, grazie alla sezione ritmica del bassista Taras Prodaniuk e del batterista Michael Jerome, insieme al chitarrista Bobby Eichorn. I testi,bellissimi, fanno riflettere sulla vita e la morte, la felicità e la disperazione, il movimento e la stasi. Registrato e mixato da Clay Blair al Boulevard Recording di Hollywood. Art direction e fotografia di Tom Bejgrowics, all’interno il disegno “13 Rivers” opera dello stesso Thompson.
