Originally recorded for radio broadcast, a concert Steeleye Span gave on February 11, 1978 at De Montfort Hall in Leicester has finally been officially released on LP and CD. But it’s not clear why the vinyl says 1977 while the CD says Montfort is Montford. Lots of confusion. Tim Hart (guitars and vocals), Maddy Prior (vocals), Rick Kemp (bass and vocals), Nigel Pegrum (drums and percussion), Martin Carthy (guitars, keyboards and vocals) and John Kirkpatrick (accordion and vocals) star in a twelve-song set that features several selections from the previous year’s album “Storm Force Ten” and highlights from the repertoire prior to the mainstream success of “All Around My Hat” before closing with the famous a cappella version of Buddy Holly’s “Rave On.”

Registrato in origine per essere diffuso per radio, diventa finalmente disponibile ufficialmente su LP e su CD un concerto che gli Steeleye Span tennero l’11 febbraio del 1978 alla De Montfort Hall di Leicester. Ma non è chiaro perché sul vinile si parla del 1977 mentre sul CD Montofort diventa Montford. Molta confusione. Tim Hart (chitarre e voce), Maddy Prior (voce), Rick Kemp (basso e voce), Nigel Pegrum (batteria e percussioni), Martin Carthy (chitarre, tastiere e voce) e John Kirkpatrick (fisarmonica e voce) sono i protagonisti di un set di di dodici brani che ripropone diverse selezioni dall’album dell’anno precedente "Storm Force Ten" e pezzi forti del repertorio precedente al successo mainstream di "All Around My Hat" prima della chiusura affidata alla celebre versione a cappella della "Rave On" di Buddy Holly.
