Steeleye Span, Hark! The Village Wait, LP UK Mooncrest 1991 - CREST 003

More than fifteen years pass and in 1991 Monncrest publishes a new vinyl of the group's first album in a graphically rather "dark" version. Even today, after more than thirty years, listening is very pleasant and the arrangements are effective, the drums are not too invasive and leave space for string instruments, such as Terry Woods' mandolin. You can feel the genius of Ashley Hutchings and Maddy Prior's voice, in songs like "The Blacksmith" and "Dark eyes Sailor", is enchanting.
