Steeleye Span, Recollections, LP AUS Chrysalis 1981 - L 37753

This compilation, released in 1981 for the Australian market only, contains eighteen tracks, chosen in a "judicious" way, at least that's what Glenn Baker says in his lines introducing the album. The collection, which includes songs ranging from the obscure "The Holly an the Ivy" from 1972 to "Sails of Silver" from 1980, is of some interest, especially for "Elf call" and "Montrose", two songs recorded specifically for this album, but also for the Christmas message that curiously ends the song "The Holly an the Ivy". The cover design that frames the photo of the group, quite conventional in truth, is the work of Warren Barnett.

The Holly an the Ivy".
