Brass Monkey, Sound & Rumour

A cominciare dalla evocativa "the Flash Lad", questo CD si lascia davvero apprezzare. Curiosa è la storia del brano "The Heroes of St Valery", scritto dal sergente  Donald Maclean durante la prigionia in un campo tedesco durante la seconda guerra mondiale, dopo che il suo reggimento era stato catturato intatto, senza combattere, in occasione della ritirata di Dunkerque. Martin Carthy scrive la presentazione su un bel booklet disegnato da John Haxby e corredato dalle fotografie di Tom Howard.
