Renaissance Records' "Alive
in America" collection dedicates a new release to the 1974 version of
Fairport Convention: the band saw the return of Sandy Denny (lead
vocals and piano) alongside her husband Trevor Lucas (guitar and
vocals), Dave Swarbrick (violin and vocals), Jerry Donahue (lead
guitar), Dave Pegg (bass and backing vocals) and Dave Mattacks (drums
and percussion). Compared to the official '74 "Fairport Live
Convention" album there are some differences, and in particular the
inclusion of a version of Denny's signature song, "Who Know Where The
Time Goes?", who from her solo repertoire also brings with
her "John The Gun", "It'll Take a Long Time" and "Down In The Flood"
sharing the center of the stage with Swarbrick's devilish violin.

Convention versione 1974: la band vide il ritorno in formazione di
Sandy Denny (voce solista e pianoforte) accanto al marito Trevor Lucas
(chitarra e voce), a Dave Swarbrick (violino e voce), a Jerry Donahue
(chitarra solista), a Dave Pegg (basso e cori) e a Dave Mattacks
(batteria e percussioni). Rispetto all'album ufficiale del '74
"Fairport Live Convention" ci sono delle differenze, e spicca in
particolare l'inclusione di una versione del brano simbolo della Denny,
""Who Know Where The Time Goes?", che dal suo repertorio solista si
porta in dote anche "John The Gun", "It'll Take a Long Time" e "Down In
The Flood" dividendosi il centro della scena con l'indiavolato violino
di Swarbrick.
