Fairport Convention, Who Knows? The Woodworm Archives, LP Talking Elephant 1975  - S160-043 

From the Woodworm archives emerges this live from 1975. Ina Burgess, who also took the cover photo, claims that it is a recording of a concert at Brunel University in Uxbridge. Let's say right away that the sound quality is horrible: a lot of echo, background noise, unbalanced bass, instruments with little detail. Add to this that the 1975 tour, of which this concert is part, features a very confused Bruce Rowlands on drums and Jerry Donahue playing the electric guitar as if he were gripped by a Hendrixian frenzy. Apart from all this, it must be said that some performances such as "Sloth" and "John the Gun" are as unique as they are precious, therefore worth the cost of the double album.

Ina Burgess, autore anche della fotografia di copertina, afferma che si tratta di una registrazione di un concerto alla Brunuel University di Uxbridge. Diciamo subito che la qualità del suono è orribile: molta eco, rumori di fondo, bassi sbilanciati, strumenti poco dettagliati. A questo si aggiunga che il tour del 1975, di cui questo concerto fa parte, vede un Bruce Rowlands molto confuso alla batteria e Jerry Donahue che suona la chitarra elettrica come fosse colto da un raptus hendrixiano. A parte tutto ciò, va detto che alcune esecuzioni come "Sloth" e "John the Gun" sono tanto uniche quanto preziose, valgono dunque il costo del doppio album.
