Fairport Convention, Gladys'
Leap,
LP UK Woodworm Records (October 1986) - WR007
A new era begins for
Fairport: after years of reunions in Cropredy, the group reunites
around Simon Nicol, Dave Pegg and Dave Mattacks. It is called the
"Woodworm Era", from the name of the recording studios and the record
label of the same name. This new album is also released by the American
record company Varrick in the same year with a slightly different cover
(the album title appears in a red square). The quality of the
compositions is truly appreciable. Mike Toole's cover has an attractive
graphic and will be used again on the Elephant CD (on a black
background) published in 2001. On the back are photographs of the three
Fairports, by John Woodward.
ricompatta intorno a Simon Nicol, Dave Pegg e Dave Mattacks.
leggermente diversa (il titolo dell'album compare in un quadratino
rosso). La qualità delle composizioni è davvero
apprezzabile .
