Fairport Convention, Liege & Lief, LP UK Island Records (December 1969)  - ILPS 9115

This album by Fairport Convention is often considered the most beautiful, one could mention the well-known "Matty Groves" but also the very sweet "Farewell Farewell" by Richard Thompson, sung splendidly by Sandy Denny. The arrival of Dave Mattacks, the new drummer, also contributes greatly to the group's maturity.
