In
this beautiful second album the American influences are still evident
but the first "traditional arrangements" also appear, which will mark
the group's style. Richard Thompson begins to emerge as a composer. A
new singer arrives: Alexandra Elene MacLean Denny, better known as
Sandy Denny, who immediately stands out with the moving song
Fotheringay. The cover is a drawing by Annie Brown.
In
questo bellissimo secondo album rimangono ancora evidenti le influenze
americane ma compaiono anche i primi "tradizionali arrangiati", che
segneranno lo stile del gruppo. Richard Thompson inizia a mettersi in
evidenza come compositore. Arriva una nuova cantante: Alexandra Elene
MacLean Denny, più nota col nome di Sandy Denny, che si pone
subito in evidenza con la commovente canzone Fotheringay. La copertina
è un disegno di Annie Brown.
