A Great Return: Shirley
showcases a repertoire of English, American and Cajun songs spanning
the 16th century to the 1950s. The album was recorded at Shirley's
cottage in Lewes, East Sussex, in 2015 by Stephen Thrower and Ossian
Brown of Cyclobe; it was produced and musically directed by Ian Kearey.
After a final mix by Jamie Johnson, the album was mastered by Darrel
Sheinman and Caspar Sutton-Jones at Gearbox Records. The cover image,
featuring a portrait of the artist and a photograph of the sextant, was
created by David Newton.
Un grande ritorno: Shirley esibisce un repertorio di canzoni inglesi,
americane e cajun che vanno dal XVI secolo agli anni '50. L'album
è stato registrato nel cottage di Shirley a Lewes, East
Sussex, nel 2015 da Stephen Thrower e Ossian Brown dei Cyclobe;
