This is a record of rare intensity that also features the collaboration of John Kirkpatrick and Howard Evans, former collaborators of Martin in Brass Monkey. Richard Thompson appears in the brilliant and conclusive "Old horse" with some paradoxical and psychedelic guitar interventions. But among the compositions stands out "Reynard the Fox", a traditional collected and learned from Vic Gammon. The cover photo is by Keith Morris in the context of a graphic project by Tony Engle.
