Martin Carthy, Shearwater, LP UK Pegasus 1972 - PEG 12 

The album has the beauty of a "classic" and perhaps "Lord Randall" is, at the opening of Side B, the most beautiful of the compositions for the interpretation that Martin was able to provide. Too bad about the cover though: the art direction of Davis Barney Wade & Farrell could not have done worse in terms of kitsch effect. Very good instead is the production by Terry Brown of September Productions.

Il disco ha la bellezza di un "classico" e forse "Lord Randall" è, in apertura del Lato B, la più bella delle composizioni per l'interpretazione che Martin è riuscito a fornire. Peccato per la copertina però: davvero l'art direction di Davis Barney Wade & Farrell non poteva fare di peggio in quanto a effetto kitch. Molto buona è invece la produzione di Terry Brown della September Productions.
