Jo Freya’s Trio is a collaboration with Jude Abbott and Neil Ferguson (also members of the goup Chumbawamba). Neil played too the role of sound engineer and Keith Angel was in charge of aditional recordings. The musicians list is only explicit on their names not on their instruments: Jo Freya, Jude Abbott, Neil Ferguson, Harry Hamer, Andy Cutting and Belen de Benito. Neil plays probably bass and guitar, and Jude sings and plays the trumpet. The lack of these pieces of is information in the booklet is very confusing. Also some lyrics are missing and, in the tracklisting, compositions 9 and 10 are reversed. The album goes on growing: ”Two Sisters” and ”Entre le Boeuf” are two traditionals, arranged with a great quality and ”Mirrors” is very intense. The cover of the beautiful Lal Waterson’s and Christine Collins’ track ”Piper’s Path” has to be pointed out. The cover design is an elaboration of Jude Abbott.

Il nuovo album di Jo Freya nasce dalla collaborazione con due musicisti del gruppo Chumbawamba: Jude Abbott e Neil Ferguson, qui anche nel ruolo di ingegnere del suono. Neil suona presumibilmente basso e chitarra, Jude canta e suona la tromba. Queste informazioni non sono scritte nel booklet che è assai confuso da questo punto di vista. Inoltre mancano alcuni testi e nella tracklisting le composizioni 9 e 10 sono invertite. L’album va in crescendo e ha in “Two sisters” e “Entre le boeuf” due trad/arr di notevole qualità, ma anche “Mirrors” è molto intensa. Notevole anche “Piper’s Path”, cover di una composizione di Lal Waterson e Christine Collins. Il disegno di copertina è un'elaborazione di Jude Abbott.
