Albion Christmas Band, A Sound in the Frosty Air CD Rooksmere Records 2011 (RRCD104) Ashley
Hutchings e Simon Nicol sono dei professionisti e questo nuovo album della
Albion Christmas Band, natalizio ma costruito su canzoni tradizionali del
repertorio invernale, risulta sufficientemente intrigante. Indubbiamente i
pezzi migliori appaiono quelli composti dallo stesso Hutchings: “A Distant Bell”
e “.Burn, Logs, Burn” per fare un esempio. Il produttore Mark Hutchinson è
davvero un tuttofare: è autore della registrazione, mix e masterizzazione, dei
brani nonché autore della grafica di
copertina. La registrazione è stata effettuata negli studi di quella che di
fatto è diventata una casa disgrafia: la Rooksmere.
