Il progetto Morris On arriva dunque alla quinta puntata della sua storia con questo "The road". Si tratta di registrazioni live che il gruppo di Hutchings ha effettuato nel 2004 e 2005 in concerti, club e festivals. L'entusiasmo e l'apprezzamento di queste esibizioni ha spinto Ashley a mixare il materiale insieme a Paul Hopkinson in Aprile e Maggio 2005. Il booklet è stato concepito dal solito Malcolm Holmes: comprende le note di Steve Adamson e le fotografie di Chris Bates e Ron Eamonson.
