The Albion Band, Light Shining, LP
UK Albino 1982 - ALB001
In
1982, in a critical period for the folk revival, this album was
released, surprising for the beauty of Ashley Hutchings' compositions
and for the suggestive vocal interpretations of Cathy Lesurf, for
example in "Beware of Blue" which concludes the album. Also very
interesting for their modernity are the arrangements by Jean Pierre
Rasle on the bagpipes. On the other hand, Tony Fahy's futuristic
graphic conception is very unconvincing. The album contains an
illustrated sheet with the lyrics.
