The album marks a strong meeting point between Fairport Convention and the original Albion, the group now includes nine musicians if we exclude illustrious guests such as Kate McGarrigle (vocals in "Lay me Low" and "House in the country") and Martin Carthy (guitar in "Time to ring some changes and ragged heroes" and "Gresford disaster").
