Shirley Collins and the Albion Country Band, No Roses, LP NL Philips 1972 - 6303046

The Dutch version of "No Roses" features a bucolic cover featuring Shirley Collins and Ashley Hutchings (who were engaged at the time) in a meadow. The album, considered the debut for the Albion band, featured a large group of musicians who would not later be part of the band, in short it is a great happening. The voice of Sherley Collins, beautiful in classics such as "Murder of Maria Marten", is embellished by the violin of Nic Jones, the concertina of Tony Hall, the piano of her sister Dolly.
