Producer and sound engineer John Ravenhall says it clearly in the presentation of this album: June Tabor does not like recordings and overdubs, she loves to sing live and every performance on this album is like a gift. Melodies like "False False" and "Pavanne" are indeed worth framing, also thanks to the discreet presence of Huw Warren (piano), Mark Emerson (viola, violin), Andy Cutting (accordeon), Mark Lockheart (clarinet) and Dudley Philips (bass). The cover is very particular and features a painting by Paddy Robinson entitled "Changing".
