June Tabor's voice is very essential in this first album and half of the songs are not even accompanied. In others, we find Nic Jones' guitar and John Gillaspie's keyboards. The album is very beautiful even if it excites some critics and leaves others indifferent. On the cover we find a photograph of John Bruce. Producer Paul Brown uses Victor Gammon for the recording.
