Sandy Denny, LP UK Saga EROS 1970 - 8153

This is the first real album by Sandy Denny, published by Saga Records in 1970 and reprinted in Germany by Nova in 1977. A year later, the Mooncrest edition with liner notes by Marcel Rodd will be released: the album, which shows a cover photo by an anonymous author, contains all of Sandy's first and best songs. The original SAGA Records edition is now a rarity for collectors. Curiously, the title of the album on the cover is "Sandy Denny" while on the vinyl label it is "It's Sandy Denny". The album could be defined as a compilation if it were not for the fact that some tracks are alternative recordings compared to the original albums from 1967.

Si tratta del primo vero album di Sandy Denny, edito dalla Saga Records nel 1970 e ristampato in Germania dalla Nova nel 1977. Un anno dopo uscirà l'edizione della Mooncrest con note di copertina di Marcel Rodd: il disco, che mostra una foto di copertina di autore anonimo, contiene tutte le prime e più belle canzoni di Sandy. L'edizione originale della SAGA Records è oggi una rarità per collezionisti. Curiosamente il titolo del disco in copertina è "Sandy Denny" mentre sull'etichetta del vinile risulta essere "It's Sandy Denny". L'album si potrebbe definire una compilation se non fosse che alcuni pezzi sono registrazioni alternative rispetto agli album originali del 1967.
