Sandy Denny's first album is actually a collaboration between two artists, at least apparently. The curious fact is that there are two photos on the cover: Sandy's is large and in color, Johnny Silvio's is smaller and in B/W. Why such a disparity? Listening to the album allows us to partly reveal the secret: Sandy's compositions are of rare intensity, as well as very innovative for the time; Silvio's are instead more dated and are influenced by a blues and jazz vein of the fifties. But then, what do these two artists have to share? Who pushed them to make a record together?

Il primo disco di Sandy Denny è in realtà una collaborazione di due artisti, almeno in apparenza. Il fatto curioso è che in copertina vi sono due foto: quella di Sandy è grande e a colori, quella di Johnny Silvio più piccola e in B/N. Perché tale disparità? L'ascolto dell'album permette in parte di svelare il segreto: le composizioni di Sandy sono di rara intensità, oltre che molto innovative per l'epoca; quelle di Silvo sono invece più datate e risentono di una vena blues e jazz degli anni cinquanta. Ma allora, cosa hanno da condividere questi due artisti? Chi li ha spinti a fare un disco assieme?
