Disco formidabile, garantito. La Le surf la conosciamo, ma l’ascolto di Ian Talfer e Alan Prosser al loro esordio acustico è veramente apprezzabile. Chris Taylor suona il bouzouki ed altri strumenti a corde. John Jones collabora già col gruppo, a lui vanno i ringraziamenti dei musicisti par alcune parti marginali, alcuni cori e il melodeon in alcuni pezzi. La suggestiva copertina rappresenta pezzi di un gioco di scacchi, costruiti da Joanna Dessau e fotografati da Roger Holt.
