Tim Hart & Maddy Prior, Folk Songs of Old England Vol.1, LP UK Tepee Records 1968 - TPRLP102 Mono

Tepee is a record company that has released few records and that coincides with the figure of its producer Tony Pike, also owner of the recording studios in Putney (Tony Pike Studios) where the first two albums by Maddy Prior and Tim Hart were recorded. Curious detail: The original Tepee album had both sides swapped on the actual vinyl, i.e. side 1 starts with The Dalesman’s Litany. The track list in the Tepee sleeve notes, however, and the track order on all subsequent releases is as shown below.. Very beautiful photographs of the two artists in B/W on the cover and inside, where there is also a presentation written by W.J.Taylor.

La Tepee è una casa discografica che ha pubblicato pochi dischi e che coincide con la figura del suo produttore Tony Pike, proprietario inoltre degli studi di registrazione a Putney (Tony Pike Studios) dove i primi due album di Maddy Prior e Tim Hart sono stati registrati. Particolare curioso: c’è una incoerenza perché le tracce relative al Lato A e al Lato B della copertina compaiono invertite sull’etichetta dove le tracce del Lato A sono sul Lato B e viceversa. Molto belle le fotografie dei due artisti in B/N sulla copertina e all’interno, dove compare anche una presentazione scritta da W.J.Taylor.
