In 1973 Tufty Swift, Derek Pearce and John Tams formed a trio called Whistlig Rufus, with a melodeon and two banjos. Their desire to play English folk music brought John Kirkpatrick and Sue Harris into the group: a very bright and fun band was born, as evidenced by the photograph of Bob Naylor on the cover. The recording was made at Gateway Studios.
