Shirley Collins and the Albion Country Band, No Roses, LP Holland, Philips 1972 - 6303 046

When this album was first released in 1971, it was considered adventurous, combining a traditional English singer with 25 musicians, some from a folk background, others from the fields of contemporary rock and early music. It was an experiment that turned into a triumph, with the album being reissued the following year in Holland with a cover revealing a country setting.
