The tracks on this wonderful album were recorded live at Folcal Point in Saint Louis on February 23, 1990, with the exception of "Byker Hill", recorded in Santa Monica on February 17 of the same month. Sound engineer Paul D. Stamler did a really splendid job because the sound is bright and pleasant to listen to. The re-working of "Sovay" is particularly surprising. The cover is illustrated by Rodeo and accompanied by photographs by Andrew Cleal.
