Fi Fraser & Jo Freya, The Fraser Sisters

(1998) No Masters   NMCD12

For the first time, these two sisters have produced an album of their own, inspired by their favorite bands: The Old Swan Band, Blowzabella, Token Women and Tanteeka. Accompanying them in this effort are longtime musical friends: Karen Tweed, Andy Cutting, Ralph Jordan and Barry Coope. Among the most noticeable tracks is definitely "The Rose of Raby”, a composition by Dave Shepherd already played by Blowzabella that Jo Freya arranges beautifully. It’s an excellent work of the producer John Tams. Interesting from the artistic point of view are also the artwork by Brian Ledgard and the photographs by Dean Rogers.

The Old Swan Band, Blowzabella, Token Women and Tanteeka.
