Negel Eaton & Paul James, Ancient Beatbox

Frankly, a record that will leave fans puzzled.  Beautiful design by Naomi Hines on the cover, a bit "spooky" instead are the photos of the two musicians by Angela Coombes. Musically speaking, what leaves the most perplexing is the programming of the electronic drums in all tracks. This flattens them by removing all the spontaneity and originality in composition and leads , at the end, to a “miserable” product that could have been better.

Francamente un disco che lascerà perplessi gli appassionati. Bellissimo il disegno di Naomi Hines in copertina, un po' spettrale invece la foto dei due musicisti all'interno (foto di Angela Coombes). Musicalmente parlando, ciò che lascia maggiormente perplessi è la programmazione delle percussioni elettroniche presente in tutti i brani,  essa li appiattisce  togliendo spontaneità e originalità a tutte le composizioni ed avvilendo un prodotto finale che avrebbe potuto essere migliore.
