Nigel Eaton, The Music of Hurdy-Gurdy, CD Saydisc records 1988 - CDSDL 374

With the collaboration of Paul James and especially Cliff Stapleton (another hurdy-gurdy player previously member of Blowzabella), Nigel Eaton manufactures this work that revisits classic songs (including the "Pastor Fido" by Vivaldi). The author seems to be very concentrated on the front cover. Inside there is an interesting textual documentation (a short history of the hurdy-gurdy) and iconography (some illustrations of details of the construction of a hurdy-gurdy).

Con la collaborazione dell'amico Paul James e soprattutto di Cliff Stapleton (altro suonatore di ghironda componente i Blowzabella), Nigel Eaton confeziona questo lavoro nel quale rivisita anche brani classici (tra cui il "Pastor Fido" di Vivaldi). Nell'immagine di copertina l'autore appare molto concentrato. All'interno troviamo una interessante documentazione sia testuale (una breve storia della ghironda) che iconografica (alcune illustrazioni di dettagli della costruzione).
