Mara!, an Australian band,  has developed a unique musical style merging folk roots with  jazz  patterns.  It’s possible to find in this music influences from early music,  from English and Celtic folk music and from middle Eastern, Balkan and Mediterranean traditional musics. The remarkable and magnetic voice of Mara Kiek is leading the band. Images is the first  and beautiful album of the group. In it, Paul James plays the English bagpipes as a special guest. On the cover, a beautiful story illustrated by Richard Birmingham is depicted.

Mara! è un gruppo australiano che ha sviluppato uno stile musicale assai particolare che fonde il folk con l'espressionismo jazz attraverso sonorità in cui si possono ritrovare la musica antica, il folk anglo-celtico, il medio oriente, i balcani e la musica mediterranea. In primo piano è la voce, bellissima e magnetica, della cantante Mara Kiek. "Images" è il primo, bellissimo, album del gruppo. In esso Paul James suona la cornamusa in qualità di "special guest". In copertina una bellissima storia illustrata da Richard Birmingham.
