è alquanto
esplicativo: “una notevole giornata di Ashley
Hutcihings”. Si tratta in effetti
di una registrazione dal vivo effettuata i 6 Febbraio 2016 alla Wigan
Parish
Churc da Ian Cleverdon che sarà inoltre l’autore
del mix e della
masterizzazione. Lo spettacolo è ispirato al libro
“Word words words” dello
stesso Hutchings, che si esibisce con Ruth Angell (voce, violino,
chitarra,
harmonium) che già abbiamo conosciuto con i Rainbow Chasers,
e Becky Mills (voce
e chiatarra acustica). L’organizzatore
dell’evento David Cartlidge e la sua Acoustic Roots
Association hanno fatto le
cose in grande. In questo doppio cd Ashley legge anche testi tra i
quali le
note di copertina per la ristampa del primo album dei Fairport
Convention, un periodo
che definisce come “i migliori anni della nostra vita, i
più colorati e
creativi della storia britannica”. In copertina una bella
fotografia di David
Hiney nel contesto di una artwork curata da Mike Toole.
