Shirley
Collins and the Albion Country Band, No Roses, LP
UK Pegasus 1971 - PEG 7
The
original album published by Pegasus has a gatefold packaging, enriched
by photographs by Keith Morris and a legendary graphic design. The
album, considered the debut for the Albion band, featured a large group
of musicians who would not later be part of the band, in short it is a
great happening. The voice of Sherley Collins, beautiful in classics
such as "Murder of Maria Marten", is embellished by the violin of Nic
Jones, the concertina of Tony Hall, the piano of her sister Dolly.
